territory account manager (Northgate & SE Saskatchewan)

The Territory Account Manager establishes long-term relationships with suppliers to drive volume at the Ceres Northgate Terminal grain elevator. The person in this position will devise sound and effective pricing strategies and promotions, represent the company at the farm level and the industry, and play a key role in planning logistics to meet the needs of producers and the facility. This position could be based at the Northgate facility, or work remotely, as long as he or she can make the commitment to spend at least two days per week at the elevator.


Establish means of effective daily communication with customer base

Expand the footprint of Ceres draw area to the facility

Promote all commodity programs/products and provide feedback to Manager on new opportunity

Provide market insight to local producers

Relay key information to hedging staff, including pricings and ForEx

Help cultivate company bias on price/quality, based on information received from producers and competing elevators

Properly monitor standing pricing orders from the farmer to the hedge desk

Enter all contracts promptly and secure counterparty confirm/signature

Annually review producer profiles and target suppliers

Provide feedback to Manager on crop production intentions, yield expectations, and acreage revenue needs, along with transportation needs/challenges

Collaborate with Manager to properly manage inbound truck schedule/logistics

Identify potential acquisition targets or joint commercial endeavors

Weekly merchandising meetings

Quarterly Revenue/Operations meetings

Annual volume/margin forecasting

Represent the Company at industry functions in a professional manner.

Assume the lead role in various special projects, as assigned
